About the South Asian Institute for Justice

Our Vision and Mission

The Institute shall pursue the following objectives:

1. Conducting research and building up accredited academic repositories through regional cooperation in the field economic policy and justice, geopolitics, international relations, regional, conflict resolution and other relevant issues concerning South Asian region.

2. Engaging in policy development and advocacy to contribute towards continuous peace, stability and socio-economic growth in the South Asian region and beyond.

3. Providing educational programs, workshops, and seminars to foster understanding and awareness of legal policy, geopolitical, and international relations issues.

4. Facilitating dialogue, collaboration and cooperation among stakeholders, including policy makers, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, and civil society groups, to address equitable regional development and global challenges.

5. Promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding among nations in the South Asian region through initiatives that foster peace, cooperation, and collective sustainable development.

6. Supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in South Asia and promoting international legal standards and norms.

7. Contributing to the development of innovative solutions and best practices in regional cooperation, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and post-conflict stabilization efforts.

8. Engaging in public outreach and awareness campaigns to promote informed public
discourse on key issues related to justice, international relations, and regional development.

9. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address emerging threats and challenges such as terrorism, transnational crime, and cybersecurity risks, and other barriers to progress in the South Asian region.

10. Advocating for the protection of vulnerable populations, including women, children, internally displaced persons, and marginalized communities, and supporting efforts to address their humanitarian needs.

11. Advance liberal democracy values, human rights, and the rule of law in the region.

About The Chairperson


Barrister Sundas Malik is a distinguished legal professional and humanitarian activist She graduated from Leeds Law School and BPP Law School in the United Kingdom. With extensive experience of more than a decade in legal reformation, policy framework and grass roots activism Barrister Malik has made significant contributions to various esteemed think tanks, including the Centre for Pakistan and
International Relations, the Institute of Regional Studies, the Legal Forum for Kashmir, UNDP, and UNFPA. Additionally, she has served as a member of the Special Advisory Committee on Kashmir in the office of Prime Minister Kakkar. Her expertise and dedication to legal and policy reforms have established her as a respected figure in her field.
